Overview

The Network of Indian Professionals started in Chicago in 1990. Today, NetIP has expanded to include over 5,000 members in 24 major metropolitan areas across United States and Canada. NetIP has large chapters in Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The growth of the organization has been over interest to many South Asian professionals across North America and worldwide.

NetIP North America continues to foster the growth of highly talented, socially responsible, and dynamic South Asian professionals via:
  • Stimulating and interactive environment for our members to establish and grow their professional relationships
  • Providing a variety of opportunities to lend time and support to community service organizations across North America and overseas
  • Addressing the professional, political, cultural, and social issues that affect South Asian professionals

An Executive Committee and Board of Directors governs NetIP North America that oversee the daily operations of all the chapters in the organization. The Board is comprised of the elected Chapter Liaisons from each Chapter. In order to fulfill its mission, NetIP chapters:

  • Enhance professional development via speaking engagements and seminars
  • Assist the disadvantaged through philanthropic and fund raising activities
  • Provide a forum for networking and developing bonds
  • Provide a variety of opportunities to lend time and support to community service organizations across North America and overseas
  • Address the professional, political, cultural, and social issues that affect South Asian professionals today
